These pages describe how you move around Vetrix once you are signed in: where you land, how to find repositories, code, and the people who work on them, and how to keep up with the activity that involves you. They cover the surfaces you reach from the top navigation bar, rather than the contents of any one repository.

Where to find it: the top navigation bar is on every page after you sign in. The main menu beside the Vetrix logo holds Newsfeed and Repositories, the Global search box sits in the middle of the bar, the notification bell shows your unread count, and your avatar opens your account menu. Signing in takes you to the newsfeed.

Where you land

The two pages that gather your own work and the instance's conversation.

  • Newsfeed — the shared stream of short posts, headed The Kitchen, that you land on after signing in, where you can write a post and join the discussion on one.
  • Repository list — your personal repository home, grouping the repositories you own, have starred, and collaborate on beside an activity feed of recent events.

Finding things

Discovery across the instance, by browsing or by query.

  • Explore repositories — the full listing of the instance's public repositories, with a text search that filters as you type against name, owner, and description.
  • Search — one query across the code, symbols, issues, and merge requests in every repository you can see, with a tab per result type and a relevance or recency ordering.

People and activity

Who did what, and what needs your attention.

  • Notifications — your inbox of the activity that involves you, where you can filter to unread items, mark them read or unread, and delete the ones you are finished with.
  • Profiles — the public page behind any user or organization name on the site, showing their photo, bio, and the repositories you are allowed to see.
