Notification preferences
Notification preferences let you choose which events notify you and how. Preferences are arranged as a grid of events down the side and delivery channels across the top, so you can turn each channel on or off for each event independently.
Where to find it
Open your avatar menu in the top navigation bar and choose Settings, then select Notifications from the Account sidebar.

Choose how you are notified
- Find the event you want to change in the Event column.
- Select or clear the checkbox in the In-app or Email column for that event.
- Repeat for any other events you want to change. Each changed row is marked unsaved until you save.
- Select Save preferences.
Save preferences stays disabled until you change at least one checkbox. Your changes take effect once you save; leaving the page without saving discards them.
Delivery channels
- In-app notifications appear in your notifications inbox in the web app.
- Email notifications are sent to the address on your account.
Email is not available for every event. Where a channel does not apply, its cell shows N/A and cannot be selected.
Events you can control
The grid lists these events:
- Issue created
- Issue assigned
- Issue commented
- Mentioned in issue
- State changed — in-app only; Email shows N/A.
- Issue closed
- Issue reopened — in-app only; Email shows N/A.
- Disk space alert
Tips
- A row marked unsaved has changes that are not stored yet. Select Save preferences to keep them.
- Clearing both channels for an event stops notifications for that event without affecting any other event.
