Profile

Your profile settings control how you appear to other people across Vetrix: your display name, a short bio, your email address, and your profile photo. This page also shows your unique user ID. Changes take effect as soon as you save them.

Where to find it

Open the account menu from your avatar in the top-right corner of any page and choose Settings. Vetrix opens the settings area on the Profile page, listed first under Account in the settings sidebar.

  • URL pattern: gitvetrix.com/settings/profile

Edit your display name, bio, and email

  1. Go to Settings > Profile.
  2. In Display name, type the name you want shown across Vetrix.
  3. In Bio, add an optional short description of yourself. A counter below the field shows how many characters remain as you type.
  4. In Email, update your email address if it has changed.
  5. Select Save changes.

When the update succeeds, Vetrix shows a Profile updated successfully. confirmation. The Save changes button stays disabled until you make an edit, so you can only save real changes.

Change your profile photo

  1. Go to Settings > Profile.
  2. Select Change photo and pick an image file. Vetrix accepts JPEG, PNG, or WebP images up to 5 MiB.
  3. In the Crop your avatar dialog, drag to reposition the image and use the Zoom slider to frame it inside the circle.
  4. Select Save photo to upload it, or Cancel to discard the change.

Your new photo appears immediately next to your username and in the top navigation bar. If you choose a file that is not a supported image type or is larger than 5 MiB, Vetrix rejects it and explains why before uploading.

Remove your profile photo

  1. Go to Settings > Profile.
  2. Select Remove photo.

The Remove photo button appears only when you already have a photo. After you remove it, Vetrix shows a placeholder built from the first letter of your username.

Copy your user ID

  1. Go to Settings > Profile.
  2. In the User ID panel, select Copy.

The button briefly changes to Copied to confirm. Your user ID is a unique identifier for your account, and only you can see it on this page.
